Finance Director | Manufacturing | Central Midlands | to max c. ÂŁ120k + Car + Benefits

A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced and business-savvy Finance Director to step into a broad leadership role within this successful, privately owned business undergoing an exciting period of transformation. The business itself encompasses several core operational activities including manufacturing, supply and distribution. This is a hands-on, highly visible and broad-remit position at the heart of the organisation’s decision-making, blending financial stewardship, strategic insight, and operational support.

The Opportunity

  • Lead financial control, reporting, forecasting, and planning activities across the business
  • Support the Board and shareholders with strategic decision-making, commercial insight, and financial analysis
  • Partner across the business to drive better performance, modernise processes, and improve visibility of key metrics
  • Manage external relationships including banking, audit, and advisors
  • Represent IT and business systems at Board level, ensuring the infrastructure supports future needs
  • Lead, develop, and inspire a small finance team

This is a critical role, central to navigating the current transformation programme, and building for the future.

What You’ll Bring

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACMA, ACCA or equivalent)
  • Strong senior finance leadership, ideally including Board or Executive-level exposure
  • Deep understanding of financial planning, reporting, control, and commercial finance
  • Strong operational finance experience, ideally within manufacturing / processing / supply chain or similar operational environment
  • High emotional intelligence, low ego, and a strong ability to build trust across diverse stakeholder groups
  • Strategic thinker yet with a practical, sleeves-rolled-up mindset
