Head of Credit Control, Warwickshire, £65k-£75k

About the Role

My Client, a leading business in the UK in its niche in the construction industry, is seeking an experienced and results-driven Head of Credit Control to lead their credit control department.

You will ensure compliance with the Finance Group Directive for Credit & Collection, oversee risk management, and maximise cash flow while maintaining strong customer relationships.

This is a key leadership role that requires balancing commercial needs with financial risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set cash targets and manage the team to achieve them
  • Ensure compliance with credit policies, insurance requirements, and financial directives
  • Build strong relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders
  • Develop and coach team members to create a high-performing, self-managing team
  • Drive continuous process improvements across departments
  • Collaborate with sales, customer service, insurers, and the Board of Directors

What We’re Looking For:

Qualifications & Experience

  • Member of the Institute of Credit Management
  • Proven track record in financial risk assessment and achieving stretch targets
  • Strong leadership experience in credit control and collections
  • Proven team management experience and experience of developing a high performing team
  • SAP experience is essential
  • Senior credit experience in a UK Construction company
  • Preferably senior credit experience in a UK Plant Hire / Construction Hire company
