We are looking to recruit a HSE Advisor, for our well established client who are manufacturers of bespoke designed and crafted home improvement products. The successful candidate will own the companies safety initiatives, ensuring all improvements are considered.Due to the nature of the product manufactured, an understanding of chemical safety is key.Responsibilities of the HSE Advisor:

  • Compliance auditing of HSE procedures, including the shop floor.
  • Manage the companies on site initiatives, which includes promoting and training.
  • Co-ordinate the Occupational Health surveys, the medicals, toolbox talks and regular training.
  • Complete HSE site inspections on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Checking for potential risks and implementing any actions as needed.
  • Complete Manual Handling, COSHH and Risk Assessments.
  • Undertake any accident or incident investigations in a pro-active manner.
  • Support the continuous improvement initiatives for legal compliance and the ISO processes.
  • Complete regular stock take of all PPE equipment.
  • Compile actions to distribute from monthly HSE meetings.

What we are looking for in the HSE Advisor:

  • Experience within a similar role, ideally with a chemical or manufacturing background.
  • NEBOSH general certificate.
  • The drive, energy and enthusiasm with the ability to build relationships across all levels.
  • The ability to use your initiative to problem solve.
  • Able to analyse, collate and review information to product reports.
