Role Overview: As a Senior Carer, you'll play a multifaceted role, blending leadership with hands-on care giving expertise. Here's what you'll do:

  1. Leadership: In the absence of higher management, you'll maintain the smooth operation of our home. Your pivotal role ensures that our residents receive the highest standards of care, especially crucial in dementia care.
  2. Personal Care: Provide compassionate and personalised care to our residents, assisting with daily activities, medication management, and emotional support.
  3. Team Collaboration: Work closely with our care team, volunteers, and external professionals to create a holistic care plan for each resident.
  4. Observation and Reporting: Monitor resident's well-being, noting any changes and promptly reporting concerns to the management team.
  5. Empathy and Respect: Show empathy, patience, and respect to residents and their families, fostering a warm and welcoming environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience: You should be a skilled senior or very experienced carer seeking their next challenge with a background in the care and support for vulnerable adults.
  • NVQ 2 or Equivalent: A relevant qualification in adult social care is essential.
  • Communication: Effective communication skills are essential for collaborating with residents, families, and colleagues.
