Sonic Summary
- We are seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant (TA) to support children in both mainstream and SEND schools.
- Experience with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH) and other SEND, such as Autism and ADHD, is desirable but not essential.
- The role requires resilience, persistence, and a solution-focused attitude to meet the needs of children with complex behaviors.
- SEND TAs will support teachers, work with children 1:1, manage classroom resources, and ensure a safe learning environment.
- The salary for this position is competitive, and candidates should ideally have at least one year of relevant experience.

SEND TA's know that no two days are the same and that no two children are the same either. We are looking for very special adults who can support children with complex and challenging behaviours.
They will know that children require lots of attention, just the right sort of communication, consistency and flexibility, and a non-judgemental approach. They need to be resilient, persistent and solution focused to meet the needs of the children.
Some elements of the TA role:
supporting teachers in the classroom
working with children 1:1 or delivering sessions with small groups of students
managing classroom resources
managing heightened behaviours and keeping children safe
celebrating success
