Team Leader

Location: Central Coventry
Position: Team Leader - Residential Home for Older Adults with Dementia
Hourly rate: 12.40 per hour
Hours of work: 5 days over 7 - varied day shifts


In partnership with a well-established, highly-rated residential home in central Coventry, dedicated to providing exceptional care for older adults with dementia, I am seeking a compassionate and experienced Team Leader to join the team and help continue delivering outstanding care.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Personal Care and Support: Provide high-quality personal care and support to residents.
  • Activity Support: Engage residents in meaningful activities to enhance their well-being.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medication safely and accurately.
  • Report Writing: Maintain accurate and detailed records of care provided.
  • Team Working: Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure the best care for residents.
  • Partnership Working: Work in partnership with external agencies, families, and visitors to the home.
  • Behaviour Management: Support residents with dementia or challenging behaviours, using positive behaviour management techniques.

Essential Criteria:

  • Qualifications: Level 2 in Health and Social Care, ideally Level 3 or willing to secure this qualification.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a Healthcare Assistant (HCA) or a senior looking to advance. Experience in supporting adults with dementia or challenging behaviours.
  • Skills: Medication trained, excellent personal care and support skills, activity support, report writing, team working, and partnership working.
