Our client is a boutique law firm with an experienced legal team who are committed to providing legal services to the people of the West Midlands, Coventry and Warwickshire. Their Solicitors and Lawyers specialise in their chosen areas of law to ensure they deliver a quality personal service to their clients.

They are looking to recruit a Legal Accounts Assistant, to provide support to the Practice Manager, Members and internal members of staff to ensure the smooth running of the department and firm. Must be focused and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

  • Bank reconciliations
  • Daily banking
  • Processing client bills
  • Completing inter account transfers
  • Processing client and office transactions
  • Petty Cash control and reconciliation
  • Completing month end routines and producing month end reports to P/L- TB
  • Processing CHAP/BACS & inter-account transfers via online banking
  • Purchase Ledger posting and control
  • Completing archive/matter close routinesData entry and filing

Candidate Profile

  • High standard of accuracy and able to work under pressure
  • Ability to work within the requirement of confidentiality
  • Ability to work effectively and flexibly within a team
  • Willingness to take on additional administrative duties when required
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Anti-money laundering, Cybercrime Awareness
  • An understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Knowledge of the Solicitors Financial Rules
  • Computer literate and experience of legal accounting software is desirable.
