My client is a renowned Legal 500 firm based in Solihull. It is currently seeking a Private Client Legal Secretary to join its esteemed team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who is looking to build a long-term career. You will provide high-quality administrative support to the Private Client team, focusing on client care and ensuring the seamless management of legal processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support: Manage day-to-day administrative tasks, including preparing legal documents, typing correspondence and managing digital and physical files
  • Client Interaction: Act as a professional point of contact for clients, handling inquiries with discretion and delivering an excellent client experience
  • Diary Management: Maintain calendars for fee earners, schedule meetings & appointments and manage reminders to ensure the team’s productivity
  • Document Preparation: Draft, format and proofread legal documents such as wills, probate forms and powers of attorney
  • Billing and Financial Records: Assist in the preparation of bills, expense management and processing payments, in compliance with firm procedures
  • General Office Duties: Support the wider office with filing, copying, scanning and handling of confidential client records

You:

  • Experience: You have a proven background as a legal secretary, ideally within a Private Client team or similar legal environment
  • Skills: You possess excellent typing speed and accuracy, strong organisational abilities and a high level of attention to detail
  • Communication: Your written and verbal communication skills are exceptional, and you take a client-focused approach to your work
  • Technical Proficiency: You are confident using MS Office and case management software
  • Confidentiality: You understand the importance of discretion and demonstrate a solid grasp of legal confidentiality requirements
