Your new companyYou will be working for a world leader in machining and technical solutions based in Coventry. The company is looking for an Inventory Controller to support managing inventory levels, customer relationships and provide detailed analysis. Your new roleThe role involves monitoring inventory levels to align with company goals, conducting regular cycle counts and physical inventories, managing the returns process in SAP, investigating and resolving discrepancies, and collaborating with stakeholders to handle returned goods efficiently. The candidate will work closely with customers to control consignment stock levels, collaborate with sales and customer service teams to forecast demand and replenish consigned inventory, and ensure accurate tracking in SAP. Ideally, the candidate will have SAP knowledge to maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions. Additionally, the role includes generating reports and analytics from SAP to provide insights into inventory performance, identifying trends, proposing improvements, and continuously evaluating and enhancing inventory management processes in collaboration with cross-functional teams. What you'll need to succeedTo excel in this role, the candidate should possess strong interpersonal skills, clear and informative communication abilities, and professionalism, especially under pressure. Effective planning and organising are essential, ensuring tasks are prioritised, resources are managed efficiently, and deadlines are met or communicated with alternative plans. The candidate should provide professional customer service, respond to support requests, and contribute positively to team dynamics. Observing safety procedures and using equipment properly is crucial, along with demonstrating business acumen and understanding market and competition implications.
