I am currently recruiting on behalf of one of the world's leading mobility technology companies based in Coventry who are seeking a Controls Engineer to join their team
Job Description
As a Controls Engineer your main responsibilities are:
* Support process for powertrain control requirements development.
* Design, simulate, implement, debug, test and research control and estimation algorithms for various electrical, mechanical, and thermal systems in powertrain systems.
* Engage with suppliers and other stake holders to review hardware and software attributes.
* Develop energy management/torque management Software and Controls for electric/hybrid/ICE powertrains.
Skills & experience required:
* Engineering/Science Degree (or equivalent).
* Automotive engineering knowledge/experience in design and validation for electrified powertrain systems.
* Experience of automotive control systems software development, data logging and calibration tools.
* Proficient in MS office tools (e.g., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Willingness and ability to interface constructively with a global team.
* Driving license valid for driving in the UK
