Warehouse Shift Leader – Despatch & Goods InLocation: CoventrySalary: £33,000 + £2,500 shift allowanceHours: Monday to Friday, 16:00 – 00:00Empowered Personnel is currently recruiting for a Warehouse Shift Leader to join a well-established Logistics team in Coventry. The Warehouse Shift Leader role is vital in ensuring that orders are shipped on time, stock levels are accurately maintained, and operations run efficiently. This role for a Warehouse Shift Leader is a permanent role based in CoventryWarehouse Shift Leader Key Responsibilities:• Plan resources for goods in, transport, warehouse, pick, pack and post operations to ensure seamless order fulfilment.• Use RF scanners to accurately store stock in the correct locations.• Communicate and coordinate with drivers, verify paperwork, and oversee the safe loading of vehicles.• Amend labels for UK shipments when necessary.• Maintain stock levels of business-critical and ancillary items, preventing shortages.• Confirm product arrivals, goods receipting, and stock placement for accurate billing and error identification.• Generate KPI reports to monitor departmental efficiency.• Participate in stock takes to maintain accurate stock levels.• Ensure timely packing of UK and export orders.• Investigate stock discrepancies and resolve issues to maintain order accuracy.• Lead and motivate the team, including recruitment, training, and performance management.• Conduct regular safety checks on lorries and forklift trucks to support material flow.• Stay updated on traffic laws and implement necessary changes.• Adhere to health and safety policies and enforce performance and absence policies.• Manage team holidays and staffing levels.• Carry out any additional duties as required by the line manager.Skills & Knowledge:• Strong knowledge of Excel, Word, and email systems.• Excellent telephone manner.• Understanding of warehouse stock controls, despatch procedures, international shipping, and material flow.Experience:• Previous experience managing a small team.• Understanding of stores and stock rotation principles.• Experience in enforcing departmental procedures and policies.This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Shift Leader to take on a key role in a thriving logistics team.
