About Us:
We are a reputable company located in Kenilworth, known for our commitment to excellence and professionalism. We are looking to expand our team by hiring a motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to support our payroll function on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will be an essential part of the team, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and processing of weekly and monthly payroll for employees, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Verify employee attendance, hours worked, and deductions for accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and update payroll data as necessary (e.g., salary changes, benefits adjustments, leave, etc.).
  • Process new hires, terminations, and changes in employee status.
  • Respond to employee payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with preparing and submitting payroll-related reports to management and external authorities (e.g., HMRC).
  • Assist with year-end payroll tasks, including P60s and P11Ds.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant employment laws.
  • Perform ad-hoc administrative tasks as required by the payroll and HR departments.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in payroll or a similar administrative role is desirable, but not essential.
  • Knowledge of payroll systems and relevant UK legislation (such as PAYE, NI contributions, pensions, etc.) is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • High level of confidentiality and integrity.

Hours:
This is a part-time role, with flexible working hours. The exact number of hours and days can be discussed depending on the candidate's availability.
