Job Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Administrator to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. This role will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time for our employees, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. You will play a key part in maintaining employee records and supporting the HR and finance teams with payroll-related queries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Processing Payroll: Ensure the accurate and timely processing of the monthly payroll for all employees.

  • Data Management: Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and amendments.

  • Payroll Queries: Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees, providing support and resolving any issues efficiently.

  • Tax and Deduction Management: Ensure all tax and national insurance deductions are applied correctly, and any changes are reflected in payroll.

  • Statutory Payments: Administer statutory payments, including sick pay, maternity/paternity pay, and holiday pay.

  • Reporting: Prepare and submit accurate payroll reports to management and government bodies (e.g., HMRC).

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with payroll laws and regulations, including pension contributions, tax codes, and employment laws.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure payroll data is consistent and accurate.

  • General Administration: Assist with any ad-hoc administrative tasks related to payroll and employee benefits.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes and statutory requirements (e.g., PAYE, NI contributions, pensions).

  • Familiarity with payroll software and systems (experience with [specific payroll software] is a plus).

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
