- Oversee the strategic purchasing of mechanical, electrical, and logistics categories.
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure the best quality and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand purchasing needs and align procurement strategies accordingly.
- Monitor market trends to identify potential procurement opportunities and risks.
- Ensure procurement procedures align with industry regulations and company policies.
- Manage and mentor junior procurement team members.
- Contribute to the development and execution of the procurement department's strategy.
- Implement and maintain an effective supplier performance management system.
Profile
A successful Senior Buyer' should have:
- Experience within procurement and in particular indirects
- Open to travel between Coventry and the South
- Candidate should come with experience in indirect procurement
- Must do some time off site in factories
