A manufacturer to the aerospace, automotive, defence and energy sectors as a new vacancy for Senior Buyer to join the team. Predominantly focused on indirect buying and capital projects, candidate’s are sought with experience working in a fast paced environment with strong negotiation skills and experience managing subcontractor services.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the procurement of indirect materials, subcontract services and supplies.

Build and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers, negotiating favourable terms and ensuring consistent service delivery.

Work with cross-functional teams to identify purchasing needs and cost-saving opportunities.

Monitor market trends and evaluate supplier performance for continuous improvement.

Negotiate contracts and manage supplier terms to meet company requirements.

Ensure all procurement processes comply with industry regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
Negotiation and implementation of service agreements with key suppliers
 

The Person

Experience in supplier relationship management and negotiation.

A good understanding of Indirect purchasing and procurement.

Excellent negotiation and relationship-building abilities.

Proactive, organized, and able to work under pressure.

Evidence of meeting deliverables in a fast-paced working environment
Strong interpersonal skills, and communication skills both verbal and written.

Ability to demonstrate high organisational skills and continually focus on attention to detail and continuous improvement.
