About the role: Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor, who will play a crucial role in the commitment to excellence that the company possesses. You will collaborate with the commercial team, local authorities, and housing associations to manage costs effectively and ensure the successful delivery of social housing projects. Responsibilities will include:

  • Cost Estimation: Reviewing architectural plans and assessing quantity requirements to estimate costs for materials, labour, and other resources.
  • Contract Preparation: Preparing contracts, tender documents, and procurement schedules.
  • Budget Monitoring: Tracking project budgets and managing changes during construction.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Acting as a liaison between clients, site managers, and engineers.
  • Compliance: Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

What you will need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, Construction Engineering, or related field. (Desirable but not essential).
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor in social housing
  • Strong knowledge of construction costs, contracts, and procurement processes.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and organised approach.
