Position: Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Ongoing Freelance (would also consider permanent position) 

Client: Leading Civil Engineering company who provide a diverse range of specialist construction and engineering services. Currently looking for a senior quantity surveyor to work on a large scheme. Site based position working on reinforced concrete structures for Tier 1 Clients.  Capable of managing a large scheme or several smaller schemes from access to completion.  Contract knowledge predominantly NEC, overall administration and good communication skills essential. Monthly reporting planned v actual programme/cost/value.

Skills & Responsibilities:

  • Effective contribution to the maximisation of financial return on projects.
  • The identification of commercial business risk and developing solutions for its minimisation.
  • The review and negotiation of terms and conditions of contract and subcontract.
  • Managing commercial disputes.
  • Accurately defining the commercial parameters of contracts.
  • The provision of commercial support and guidance to the Business Unit Management Team.
  • Commercial and Contractual support to the estimating and bidding process.
  • Contributing to the commercial requirements of pre-qualification and tender documents.

Its essential you are from a contracting background and ideally have previous experience of working on UK projects with reinforced concrete structures.

Scope within the business which is undergoing steady and structured growth to develop the role and career path moving forward.

Salary negotiable up to £75,000 + benefits or freelance rate negotiable (dependant on experience). Lodge paid in addition to rate.
