Controls Engineer - The Role:
?Review concept specifications for adherence to company standards, plant and high uptime process requirements
?Work with customer team, plant production, Industrial Engineering, Quality and Maintenance to optimise manufacturing processes and to support production breakdowns and working with maintenance engineers to resolve issues
?Ability to write and fault find PLC programs, Siemens S7, TIA and to modify supplied PLC programs to the best effect for the Plant
?To continuously improve control systems for cycle time and reliability
?To share knowledge, train and develop other support functions i.e. Maintenance Engineers
?To setting standards for programming logic on PLC and Robotic systems
?Maintain latest files on backup systems
?Work with nominated suppliers in detail to achieve an efficient maintainable process
Controls Engineer - The Person:
?HNC or Equivalent with Electronics/ Electrical or Engineering background
?3-5 years work experience in similar role
?Understanding of Production requirements, Siemens S7 and TIA PLC programs
?To communicate effectively at all levels
?Have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
?Flexibility to travel as required and be on call at weekends
Located in the West Midlands, role would be commutable from Coventry, Birmingham, Nuneaton, Tamworth etc.
