The company are a leader in advanced energy solutions and renewable power generation and our looking for a Lead Mechanical Systems Engineer to join their team.

Overview:
In this role, you will be responsible for the mechanical design of rotating machines and power generation systems for the marine sector.

In this role you will focus on:
Designing rotating machine systems of the highest quality, from the receipt of an order to handover to the customer, while complying with business procedures, standards, and regulations with a high focus on safety throughout.
Integration of large electro-mechanical systems to meet environmental and transversal requirements.
Planning and executing relevant engineering activities to ensure projects attain on-time delivery, cost, and quality targets, including testing and documentation.
Taking part in phase reviews, design reviews, ILS reviews, FMEA, and determining their attendees, objectives and next steps as well as acting as the review chairperson.

Experiences Required:
A relevant degree In Electromechanical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent qualifications.
Proven track record of designing mechanical systems in a professional engineering environment.
Ability to perform basic structural design and calculations, structural design specifications and mechanical Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
A solid understanding of rotor dynamics, such as: torsional and lateral vibration, shaft lines, bearings, mechanical coupling, shock absorption
Some experience using CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CREO or similar.
A basic understanding of electrical and power generation principles.


This role is only eligible for SOLE UK NATIONALS due to the projects you will be exposed to.
