Senior Social Worker, £33.30ph, Child Exploitation Team, CoventryPertemps are seeking a Senior Social Worker to join the Child Exploitation Team in Coventry.Hybrid Working Policy: Office/city-basedTeam Name: Horizon – Child Exploitation TeamCaseload: Approximately 12 casesTravel Allowance: NonePurpose of the Role:To deliver experienced professional social work services to children, young people, and families in adherence to legislative requirements and the Social Work England Code of Practice.Main Duties & Key Accountabilities:
  • Manage complex caseloads allocated by the Team Manager, including intensive interventions for children in need, child protection, and looked-after children.
  • Implement, monitor, and review plans within multi-agency meetings, addressing the assessed complex needs of children, young people, and their families.
  • Work effectively with families, carers, and significant others to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people.
  • Liaise with other professionals and agencies to ensure improved outcomes for children and their families.
  • Compile reports for conferences, court proceedings, and statutory/internal panels in line with procedures.
  • Support Missing functions and responsibilities, including conducting return home interviews.
Role requirements:
  • Qualified Social Worker and registered with SWE
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant children's legislation and social care provision.
  • Understanding of statutory guidelines, assessment and intervention models, and good practice in children’s services.
  • Skills in using solution-focused approaches and engaging effectively with children, families, and professionals.
