We are looking for a compassionate, responsible individual to join our team as a Responsible Individual.

Position Overview:
The Responsible Individual will oversee the daily operations of the childrens home, ensuring that the home runs smoothly and that the welfare and needs of the children are prioritized. This position involves overseeing the staff, managing resources, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Supervision: Lead and manage the staff team in the children's home, ensuring proper care, supervision, and support for the children.
  • Child Welfare: Ensure that each childs individual needs are met, including physical, emotional, educational, and social requirements.
  • Safety & Well-being: Maintain a safe and supportive environment, ensuring the childrens safety at all times and in all activities.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the home meets all legal and regulatory requirements, including child protection standards and licensing conditions.
  • Case Management: Work with caseworkers and other professionals to develop and implement care plans for each child, including educational and therapeutic support.
  • Communication: Regularly communicate with children, staff, social workers, and parents/guardians to ensure the smooth running of the home and the well-being of the children.
  • Training & Development: Oversee staff training and ensure that the team is well-equipped to care for the children effectively.

Requirements:

  • A passion for working with children and young people.
  • Previous experience in childcare, social work, or related fields is required.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding protocols.
  • Ability to manage challenging situations calmly and professionally.
  • A valid background check (DBS or equivalent).
  • Relevant qualifications in childcare, social work, or management (desirable).
