Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Practitioner with a genuine passion for making a positive impact in children's lives?
We are seeking 2 x dedicated professionals to provide 1:1 support for young learners with ADHD in the reception class of a mainstream primary school located in the Coventry (CV6) area.
Both roles will be full-time and until Christmas in the first instance.

Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized, focused support for a student with ADHD, helping them to develop both academically and emotionally in a safe and supportive setting.

Adapt to various classroom situations, ensuring continuity of support for the children you work with.

Help create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment that promotes children's well-being and development.

Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to staff and parents to support ongoing development.

Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to meet the educational and emotional needs of the child.
Requirements:

Level 2+ Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.

Recent experience working with children in special educational settings is desirable.

Previous experience in an educational setting with children is essential.

Strong understanding of ADHD and effective strategies to support children with this condition.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating a patient and empathetic approach.

In-depth knowledge of special educational needs and the ability to adapt to various teaching environments.

Proactive approach to supporting students and promoting their engagement in learning.

Experience or training in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) is advantageous.

A passion for providing high-quality support to students and contributing positively to their educational journey.
