LTF Recruitment is looking for a compassionate and committed 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join our valued partner Primary School in Coventry. This role involves providing dedicated support to a Key Stage 1 child with SEN on a 1:1 basis throughout the entire academic year. It's an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in supporting children who need additional assistance in the classroom, to make a meaningful impact on their educational journey. The role is offered on a long-term basis with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The Role:

  • Providing personalised support to a student with special educational needs (SEN) on a 1:1 basis.
  • Supporting the delivery of the EYFS curriculum for this student.
  • Collaborating closely with the team to develop and apply strategies that foster inclusivity and address the varied needs of students with different abilities and learning preferences.
  • Promoting active participation and engagement in the educational process.
  • Enhancing overall wellbeing by implementing targeted interventions that support learning and personal development.

The ideal candidate:

  • Has previous experience working in an early year environment either reception or Nursery.
  • Has experience supporting 1:1 and or small groups.
  • Has experience and/or knowledge of supporting Children with SEN.
  • Has TA qualifications or relevant degree.
  • Can work as part of a team.
  • Has a solid understanding of the EYFS curriculum.
