Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Adult Skills Tutor to join our clients Coventry-based team. In this rewarding role, you will deliver high-quality, engaging learning opportunities to adult learners (aged 19+) who are seeking employment or further progression opportunities.
The role includes teaching a variety of accredited qualifications, including Employability, Functional Skills (Maths and English), various Vocational courses, and Essential Digital Skills, at levels ranging from Entry 1 to Level 2. Your teaching will align with academic standards and AEB funding requirements, ensuring learners achieve their personal and professional goals.
Additionally, you will provide tailored advice and guidance to learners, helping them identify their progression routes and prepare for success in employment, apprenticeships, or further education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess accredited qualifications, including: Employability, Functional Skills (Maths and English), Various Vocational courses, Essential Digital Skills.
- Work with adult learners aged 19+ to support their progression into employment, apprenticeships, or further education.
- Provide clear pre-programme advice and guidance, including entry requirements and progression pathways.
- Create an inclusive and engaging learning environment, tailored to the diverse needs of learners from Entry 1 to Level 2.
- Ensure all delivery meets academic standards and AEB funding criteria.
- Track learner progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records to achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Utilize knowledge of local labour market trends, sector-specific skills gaps, and training opportunities to enhance learner outcomes.
Essential Criteria:
- A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., CTLLS, PTLLS, AET, PGCE).
- Proven experience delivering Functional Skills (Maths and English) and vocational training.
- Strong knowledge of Employability and Essential Digital Skills delivery.
- Familiarity with the local labour market, including sector skills gaps and training opportunities in Warwickshire.
- Proficiency in IT and the ability to use digital tools to enhance both teaching and administration.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience providing tailored advice and guidance to learners regarding progression pathways.
- Results-driven approach with a proven ability to achieve KPIs and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Passionate, learner-focused, and dedicated to supporting individuals to achieve their goals.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience delivering training under AEB-funded contracts.
- Understanding of funding and compliance requirements in the adult education sector.
