If so, Belcan Workforce Solutions has an exciting opportunity with a multinational oil and gas corporation at their site based in Fife.

This is a 12 month contract position and is full time based on site on an Inside of IR35 basis.

What we will need from you?

Main Functions

As a Day Process Assistant you will be responsible for assisting the process operations team in the field in a supporting role to achieve operational excellence and continued safe operations. The candidate will perform all tasks with personal safety as a priority.

The Day Process Assistant's Tasks and responsibilities

  • Work cooperatively with Contractor personnel to prepare and maintain a safe work environment for their work
  • Safely perform physical tasks e.g. moving drums of chemicals, lifting, climbing ladders/tanks
  • Offloading various chemical tankers
  • Performing operational safety checks on Emergency Equipment
  • Lubrication system top ups
  • Filter cleaning on process equipment
  • Fugitive emission surveying
  • Forklift duties
  • Performing sample analysis of various process streams
  • Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping in work area and taking ownership for issues identified
  • Chemical inventory management
  • Safety critical & product quality equipment checks/minor maintenance
  • Temporary equipment setup
  • Third-party contractor hosting

Skills and Qualifications

  • Industry experience in petrochemical operations, or similar preferred
  • Highest standard of Safety, Health, Environment aptitude and cultivates the same in others
  • Excellent communications (oral & written) in English
  • Forklift driver experience desirable
  • Computer Literacy required (emails, word, excel etc)
