Senior HR Advisor

A long-term contract position is now available with a leading automotive manufacturer in Oxford

As a leadership partner and Senior HR Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for Management and Trade Union queries and topics related to your area of responsibility.

You will represent the organisations interests in cross-functional circles and meetings.

The remit will include developing HR concepts for relevant fields of responsibility in line with HR/Business strategy and actively, shaping and developing departments and their employees from an HR perspective.

Overseeing and taking responsibility for the selection of suitable candidates for open positions with Line Managers as well as responsibility for contractual changes in terms of new hires, job changes, promotions, salary changes and one-off payments.

A key part of the role will be to provide advice and support on the application of disciplinary measures and grievance procedures.

You will drive and steer Absence Management as well as issues stemmed as a result of Trade Union negotiations, such as working time models and individual measures.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent preferably in an HR / Business Management related subject.
  • Knowledge and experience of dealing with trade unions beneficial.
  • Ability to handle pressure whilst solving problems and conflicts combined with highly developed communication skills is essential.
  • Highly proficient in prioritisation, assertiveness and decision making.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and judgement / intuition is crucial in conjunction with a high level of professionality due to the nature of the customer facing role.
