Role - Facilities OperativeLocation- Cradley HeathSalary- £32k + Company Van + Discretionary bonusYour role as a Facilities Operative/Facilities Coordinator:We are seeking a Facilities Operative to be based from our clients Cradley Heath office. You will be responsible for managing subcontractors to ensure all preventative and reactive maintenance is completed to a high standard.To be successful in your application, you must have a clean driving license and a clear criminal background check.Your duties and responsibilities as a Facilities Operative:

  • Open the Cradley Heath office each morning at 7:45am ensuring all facilities are ready for use.
  • Arrange repairs, services (e.g. boiler maintenance), and manage general upkeep of the office.
  • Perform office tasks as required such as post handling, shredding, and maintaining cleaning and office supplies.
  • Transport post and supplies between our office locations and assist with maintenance at the other offices as needed and deliver documents and items for various departments within the surrounding area
  • Assist with the setup and rearrangement of office spaces, including moving heavy office furniture and equipment as needed.
  • Manage office security (e.g. liaise regarding alarms, CCTV and fire protection system, assign keys and security fobs to staff members).
  • Conduct weekly property checks, ensuring they are secure and addressing any issues.
  • Coordinate with estate agents, auctioneers, and house clearance companies for property valuations.
  • Arrange tradespeople for property maintenance (e.g., plumbing, heating).
  • Manage key cutting and locksmith services when necessary.
  • Deliver items to auctioneers for valuation and assist fee earners with property visits.
  • Hand deliver urgent documents to clients when required.

To be successful in your role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • A full clean valid driving license is essential.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong communication skills for liaising with contractors and service providers.
  • Ability to work independently and flexibly, including occasional evening and weekend work.
  • Basic IT skills, the ability to use Outlook, Word and Excel
