Job Title: Shift Engineer

Hours: 2 week shift Pattern as follows:
first week: 5 days (12 hour shifts)
second week: 2 days (12 hour shifts)
(Weekend work included)

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Shift Engineer with experience in electro-mechanical fault diagnosis and preventative maintenance within a manufacturing environment. The role requires responding to emergencies, working within a team, and ensuring safe and efficient maintenance practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical strip-down/re-assembly, wiring, calibration, and system testing
  • Complete reactive repairs within set timeframes
  • Communicate with management on repair and maintenance progress
  • Interpret electrical diagrams and work with 415V motor controls
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure health and safety
  • Read assembly drawings and operate hand tools
  • Follow setup instructions and checklists
  • Provide excellent communication and attention to detail

Desired Skills:

  • Basic PLC, pneumatic, and hydraulic knowledge (beneficial)
  • Computer literate with basic Microsoft Office skills
  • Flexible, self-motivated, and reliable
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Physically fit and able to work at height
