Salary: 32,000 - 35,000 + 3,000 Shift Allowance (Up to 38,000 Total)

Shift Pattern: Four on, four off (Two days: 7am-7pm, Two nights: 7pm-7am)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Are you a skilled Mechanical Shift Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity to work in a cutting-edge healthcare environment? At Midland Metropolitan University Hospital, you'll play a crucial role in keeping our facilities running smoothly, ensuring patients and medical teams have the support they need. Key Responsibilities:

  • Keep the hospital running efficiently by maintaining and repairing vital mechanical systems, including:

    • Ventilation systems

    • Pumps and compressors

    • Boilers and heating systems

    • Medical gas systems

    • Domestic hot and cold-water systems

  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical faults swiftly to ensure uninterrupted hospital operations.

  • Work proactively to keep everything compliant with healthcare safety and quality standards.

  • Maintain thorough records of maintenance activities and provide expert technical support when needed.

  • Be a key player in a collaborative team, working together to create a safe and efficient hospital environment.

What We're Looking For:

  • A strong maintenance background, with hospital or healthcare experience being essential.

  • City & Guilds qualification (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

  • Hands-on experience with HVAC systems, plumbing, and medical gas systems.

  • The ability to think on your feet, troubleshoot effectively, and keep things running smoothly.

  • DBS Standard Check clearance is required.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:

  • Previous experience in a large-scale healthcare facility.

  • Additional certifications in HVAC, medical gases, or plumbing systems.
