Job Title:Â Shift Engineer
Hours: 2 week shift Pattern as follows:
first week: 5 days (12 hour shifts)
second week: 2 days (12 hour shifts)
(Weekend work included)
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Shift Engineer with experience in electro-mechanical fault diagnosis and preventative maintenance within a manufacturing environment. The role requires responding to emergencies, working within a team, and ensuring safe and efficient maintenance practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical strip-down/re-assembly, wiring, calibration, and system testing
- Complete reactive repairs within set timeframes
- Communicate with management on repair and maintenance progress
- Interpret electrical diagrams and work with 415V motor controls
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure health and safety
- Read assembly drawings and operate hand tools
- Follow setup instructions and checklists
- Provide excellent communication and attention to detail
Desired Skills:
- Basic PLC, pneumatic, and hydraulic knowledge (beneficial)
- Computer literate with basic Microsoft Office skills
- Flexible, self-motivated, and reliable
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Physically fit and able to work at height
