Supply Chain Operative

We have a vacancy for a warehouse-based Supply Chain Operative to join our client’s Supply Chain team in Halesowen. This family-owned business, has built an enviable reputation worldwide over the past 25 years, working with some of the leading interior designers and design-led destinations. 

Supply Chain Operative Role

The role offers an exciting opportunity for someone to work as an integral part of the supply chain team, helping to ensure that components are delivered on time and in full, helping to reach business objectives.

Key responsibilities of the Supply Chain Operative:

  • Updating the MRP system on receipt of goods, supplier return and warehouse transfers.
  • Quality control of inbound and outbound components.
  • Picking and dispatching of components for bespoke orders.
  • Picking and quality control of raw components and arranging transfers for finishing
  • Returning non-conforming components to suppliers on time using the MRP ‘return to supplier process’.
  • Quality checking reworked components and booking parts into stock.
  • Ensuring that internal rejects are picked and correctly logged.
  • Receipting goods and completing purchase orders within the MRP system.
  • Organisation and filing of paperwork and ensuring the MRP system is updated correctly.
  • Producing necessary paperwork and ensuring it is supplied with any outbound components.
  • Arranging collection and deliveries with the logistics team.
  • Ensure the working area is kept organised, clean and tidy.

You may also be required to carry out other duties as and when required.

Candidate Requirements for the Supply Chain Operative Role:

You must be a highly driven individual who focuses on attention to detail and is comfortable using computers. You must also be an enthusiastic, organised person who will relish the chance to operate in a successful quality focused company, who provide an excellent career path and the opportunity for development.

You must have:

  • Warehouse and quality control background.
  • Comfortable using MRP software and Microsoft Office, outlook, teams, excel and Word.
  • A keen, willing, committed approach to work, able to take ownership of the role and work using own initiative
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills.

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday 7.30 am to 4.30 pm, Friday 7.30 am to 12.30 pm
