Maintenance Technician - Continental Days

Joining a successful manufacturing company who are a global player and leading producer in the food packaging sector.

With new machinery and increased investment, we are recruiting a Maintenance Technician to join the team on continental day shift, consisting of a long week followed by short week on rotation e.g 4 shifts in first week and then 3 shifts in second week.

Salary range 42-44k

Electrical or Mechanical bias is welcome, but suitable candidates will need some multi-skilled ability and experience FMCG/ manufacturing setting.

The Role

  • Ensure equipment and facilities are maintained to a high standard of efficiency, safety and reliability
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance and repairs on machinery
  • Respond to breakdowns quickly, fault-find and identify root cause
  • Work as part of a team effectively in a fast paced setting
  • Support with any improvement projects and other initiatives
  • Abide by company policy and H&S at all times

What we are looking for

  • Apprenticeship Level 3 in Engineering, Electrical / Mechanical
  • Maintenance experience gained in FMCG / Manufacturing
  • Good knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, inverters and PLC's
  • Strong fault finding ability on electrical and mechanical systems
