LGV Test Centre Manager

Cramlington Area

Salary 50k per annum

Permanent Position

We are currently looking for an experienced Manager to run a LGV Test Centre in Cramlington area.

Proven track record of Managing a Workshop servicing or repairing LGVs, PCVs, and Light Commercial Vehicles.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the operation of the test centre and workshop, with focus on efficiency and productivity
  • Business development and sales
  • Budget and cost control management
  • Enforcing health and safety standards
  • Developing customer relations ensuring effective fleet maintenance
  • Planning and scheduling workloads (including ATF fane)
  • Collaborating effectively with the DVSA
  • Negotiating with suppliers to secure competitive pricing on parts
  • Ensuring effective operation of invoicing systems

Must have relevant supervisory / managerial experience leading a team of technicians, gained in a LGV workshop environment.

Working with commercial fleet (LGV, PCV, Light vehicles) is essential.

The successful candidate must have experience in a same or similar role, with relevant mechanical engineering qualifications or be time-served in the LGV repair and maintenance industry.

A LGV Class 1 Driving Licence is preferred but not essential.
