Overview:

Jackson Hogg is delighted to be supporting a global FMCG business in the search for a National Account Manager. You will join a dynamic sales team and account manage the top four grocery retailers with full P&L responsibility. This is a well-known heritage brand who are looking to add to their team. This is a business who encourages internal promotion and has seen a lot of success with their current sales team. This is a great progression opportunity for someone with sales experience within grocery to continue to develop their career.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing relationships and building long-term partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Full P&L ownership within the grocery channel with key delivery of top-line sales and profit for your categories to accelerate market share.
  • Implementation of the strategy across the retail market supported by execution and in-store activation.
  • Plan, develop, agree and implement an annual Joint Business Plan with each retailer, activating contingency plans where necessary.
  • Agree promotional forecast with Demand Planning to support the achievement of annual promotional plans and objectives.
  • Agree monthly promotional plans with customers, including secondary sites, trade marketing collaboration and online support.

Requirements:

  • Proven Experience in customer relationship management
  • Ability and confidence to sell commercial propositions, together with sound negotiation skills.
  • 2+ years of account management or other commercial management experience in the grocery/retail market including one or all of the top four grocery accounts.
  • Commercial and financial awareness are required along with judgement, and skill to identify, negate and take commercial decisions, often under pressure.
  • Successful record of delivering results and continually demonstrating a sense of urgency.
  • Strong customer centric focus to identify opportunities, build and translate activity into executable plans.
