About the Maintenance Assistant role

As our Maintenance Assistant, you will support the Maintenance manager with general maintenance tasks and ensuring the smooth running of production.

Key responsibilities as our Maintenance Assistant:

  • Supporting the Maintenance Manager on a daily basis.
  • Maintaining and cleaning of factory machinery.
  • Diagnosing engineering faults on factory machinery and carrying out any repairs required.
  • Supporting the Maintenance Manager with the repair and upkeep of machinery, buildings, the grounds and other structures as required.
  • Ensure the maintenance of both internal and external areas of the premises is kept to a high standard.
  • Ensuring the maintenance workshop is kept a clean and safe working environment.
  • Undertaking training when required in agreement with Maintenance Manager.
  • To carry out any other duties as dictated by the needs of the company 

Essential Knowledge and Skills required of our Maintenance Assistant

  • Experience of working in engineering background
  • Good record keeping
  • The ability to work in a team and use own initiative
