GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join a fantastic school in Cranbrook. This role involves working with students who have special educational needs (SEN), helping them to access the curriculum through tailored teaching methods.

As an SEN Teacher, you will develop tailored lesson plans, provide one-to-one and small group support, and adapt learning materials to ensure accessibility for all.

Responsibilities of an SEN Teacher:

  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to adapt resources and lesson plans for SEN students.
  • Employ strategies to manage behaviour effectively and promote a positive learning environment.
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to support student progress.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and assessments.

Required Qualifications for an SEN Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Proven experience working with children with SEN.
  • Strong knowledge of SEN teaching methodologies and adaptations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
  • Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Updated Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
