Join our BRILLIANT team and make a real difference in the lives of autistic learners aged 18 and over. As a Learning Support Worker, you'll help them develop skills that boost their wellbeing, independence, and social inclusion.

What you'll be doing:

  • Support and teach autistic adult learners, both one-on-one and in small groups.
  • Plan and deliver fun lessons and activities that build essential skills.
  • Use behaviourally based strategies to reduce behaviours that affect quality of life.
  • Assist with personal care tasks, encouraging good hygiene.
  • Help learners participate in social, leisure, and educational activities in the community.
  • Support learners in finding work experience and employment opportunities.
  • Track learner progress to ensure our support and teaching methods are effective.

What we're looking for:

  • If you are based in Guildford - we have a shuttle that takes you to the school and back from the town centre.
  • If you drive - even better!
  • Experience working with adults or young people with disabilities (professionally, personally, or voluntarily).
  • Comfort in managing adults who exhibit challenging behaviour.
  • Willingness to assist with personal/intimate care as needed.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Passion for helping others and an interest in learning disabilities, even if you're new to the field.
