Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and Deliver Lessons: Create and implement lesson plans that cater to the educational requirements of students with special educational needs.
- Adapt Teaching Methods: Modify teaching approaches and materials to suit the diverse needs and interests of students.
- Maintain Classroom Environment: Establish and enforce rules for behaviour and procedures to ensure a conducive learning environment for all students.
- Assess and Track Progress: Evaluate students' performance and monitor their progress to ensure they achieve their developmental goals.
- Collaborate: Work closely with other teachers, parents, and stakeholders to enhance student learning.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training sessions and stay updated with the latest teaching strategies and regulations in special education.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Or equivalent certification.
- Experience: Proven experience in special education, particularly with students aged 4-19.
- Understanding of SEN Challenges: Deep knowledge of the challenges faced by SEN students and effective strategies to address them.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Supportive Environment: Ability to create and maintain a compassionate and supportive classroom atmosphere.
