Grafton Banks Finance is working with an international group, based in Crawley, to recruit an interim Group Accountant for a 6-month contract.

This role is to help the business through their year end and support with ongoing finance transformation projects.

We are looking for a qualified accountant who is technically strong and skilled in year end accounting. Ideally, you’ll be experienced working in a multicompany group and have experience producing accounting for overseas entities.

This role is full time office based and is paying £400-500per day inside IR35. It is to start ASAP.

Working as part of the group finance team key tasks will include:

  • Ensure all group Statutory Accounts are prepared and submitted on a timely basis within the relevant statutory deadlines.
  • Ensure all group Income Tax Returns, local and State Tax Returns and COSEC returns are prepared and submitted on a timely basis within the relevant statutory deadlines.
  • Manage the group and local entity audits, taking the lead in liaising with all group and local entity auditors and working with the Management Accountants and other internal staff in preparing all necessary audit schedules as required.
  • Ensure all additionally required group statutory filings, such as VAT and other indirect tax returns, ONS surveys, etc. are completed and filed on time.
  • Prepare the monthly group consolidated Management Accounts in line with the group’s monthly reporting timetable, prepare and circulate the related reports and insight for circulation to key stakeholders as appropriate.
