Reed Accountancy are seeking an immediately available Accounts Assistant, to join our industry leading client's expanding team on an initial 6-month fixed term contract. This role sits within a friendly, high performing team and training can be provided to bring you up to speed if required. A good understanding of Excel packages is essential to be able to hit the ground running.
Day-to-day duties as Accounts Assistant:
- Ensure all timesheets are completed accurately.
- Checking invoices and expenses for accuracy, entering them into the accounting system, and prepare payment schedules for approval.
- Assisting in producing end-of-month reports and other financial documents
- Preparing detailed schedules and ensure accurate entry.
- Performing bank reconciliations, reconcile payment copies to reports for monthly invoicing, and ensure accuracy in all financial records.
- Assisting with the preparation and dispatch of monthly invoices, including updating templates and collating necessary documentation.
- Supporting the Finance Manager and Financial Controller in preparing and entering journal entries and monthly management reports.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a finance or accounting role.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
The ideal candidate will need to be available immediately or at very short notice. Our clients offices are newly refurbished, easily accessible by public transport and there is plenty of free parking.
