My client is passionate about its products and services. They are looking for a Sales Account Manager who is equally enthusiastic to help grow their business and maximise account profitability.Day-to-day of the role:
  • Contact existing customers to develop relationships and discuss their business needs; identify opportunities for cross-selling, up-selling, and increasing account sales.
  • Generate new business by contacting lapsed customers and identifying and contacting brand-new customers; reintroduce our products and service offerings.
  • Prepare quotations and follow up on these opportunities, leading to sales.
  • Work closely with the Business Development Manager to maximise profitability and achieve sales growth, ensuring the achievement of the Area sales targets.
  • Promote specific marketing plans, initiatives, or product promotions as directed by Sales Management.
  • Process customer orders via webshop and Sage system.
  • Liaise with the Sales Support team to provide effective account management and administration.
  • Maintain our knowledge and data systems with market & competitor info, client feedback & reporting, updating systems, management, and customer account records as appropriate.
  • Identify hardware sales opportunities and pass these to the Hardware Sales team.
  • Work with our Technical Support & Hardware Sales teams to identify how we can support our customers further by supplying other products or services.
  • Handle inbound sales calls and enquiries, as overflow from the Sales Support team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a proactive, outbound sales and account management role, making business development calls to grow sales.
  • A great track record of account growth with existing clients and fostering profitable customer relationships.
  • Positive, ‘can-do’ attitude with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Confident, tenacious, and resilient, with an eye for detail to spot opportunities to upsell/cross-sell appropriately.
  • Excellent communication and team working skills to provide an effective sales experience for our customers.
  • Organised and adept at maintaining customer account records for easy account management.
