Reed Accountancy are currently partnered with a well-established and ever-growing organisation in the Crawley area who are seeking a Bookkeeper to join their friendly finance team on an interim basis. Initially the role is a 6-month interim assignment however could be made permanent at the end of their interim assignment.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Answering and directing phone calls, emails, and inquiries professionally.
- Data entry for bookkeeping, cash flow reports, and managing payables/receivables.
- Reconciling and approving supplier invoices for payment.
- Reconciling supplier statements with accounting software.
- Issuing invoices and managing daily financial transactions.
- Handling direct debit payments and conducting month-end invoicing.
- Sending remittance advice to suppliers for payments made.
- Processing employee expenses.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous administrative experience is desirable, with full training provided.
- Professional and polite telephone manner.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Outlook and Excel.
- Working knowledge of Sage is advantageous, with training provided.
- Ability to document and record processes accurately.
- Highly focused with a keen eye for detail.
- Professional and friendly demeanour.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-focused environment.
