We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join a reputable Practice. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, enjoys working with numbers, and has a passion for maintaining accurate financial records.
Day-to-day of the role:- Managing financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
- Working on payroll, preparing invoices, and managing ledger accounts.
- Reconciling bank statements and calculating VAT returns.
- Assisting with budget preparation and preparing monthly financial statements, including cash flow, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets.
- Maintaining historical records by filing documents.
- Ensuring legal compliance by following policies and procedures and enforcing adherence to requirements.
- Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Proven bookkeeping experience.
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
- Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- Data entry skills with a knack for numbers.
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software.
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- AAT qualification or similar is desirable but not essential.
