An SME, our Client is a world market-leading designer & manufacturer of niche scientific instrumentation and associated services supplied to a global customer base (Industrial End Users, Research Institutions, Academia etc.), and part of a highly successful AIM listed Group. With a profitable and consistent record, the Company has invested heavily in Engineering and Product Development.

It is in this thriving context that a high calibre and dynamic but hands-on Finance professional is now required, following a retirement, to assume ownership and overall responsibility for the Companys financial reporting, processes and controls. A key member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) reporting to the Managing Director, you will lead and mentor a small but capable Finance team, and will provide the rest of the SLT with developed, detailed financial reporting, giving proactive insight into the Companys results and all business opportunities and projects as they arise. Crucial to your success will be your ability to develop robust reporting systems that will meet the demands/increased complexity of a Business entering a significant growth programme. This is a key role on the SLT and you will be expected to contribute to the future direction of the Business.

Suitable candidates will be qualified and commercially-rounded Finance Professionals, ideally with experience of working in a manufacturing environment. Financially & commercially astute, you will possess a working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems. A motivational & empathetic team manager, you will possess the inter-personal skills necessary to collaborate with and communicate effectively with non-finance professionals at all levels within the Organisation.
