Portfolio Manager

I am supporting a local client who is looking for a Portfolio Manager to join their amazing team. If you are looking for a friendly, welcoming and supportive team to work with then read on. This role involves administering the company's portfolio of managed aircraft and supporting commercial and technical operations. As a Portfolio Manager, you will manage and develop system functionalities, support strategic portfolio initiatives. You will also have line management responsibility for a Portfolio Administrator. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the effective management and optimisation of aviation assets. It is essential that the person has working knowledge of either Leasepoint, Veryon, IFS, Ramco or Quantum.
Day-to-day tasks of the role:
- Administer the Managed Portfolio, including monitoring and updating operational and contractual statuses.
- Update Managed Portfolio transaction bibles and monitor operational, technical, and insurance lease covenants.
- Liaise with the Technical and Legal Departments regarding relevant aspects of the Managed Portfolio.
- Manage maintenance reserves, including invoicing, monitoring payments, guarantees, rate adjustments, and end-of-life forecasting and reporting to stakeholders.
- Handle rental invoicing and the on-boarding and off-boarding of Managed Portfolio assets.
- Produce regular Managed Portfolio reports and manage the development of the system, including technical, contracts, and forecasting modules.
- Maintain day-to-day liaison with stakeholders, third-party owners, and airline operators of Managed Portfolio assets.
- Line manage a Portfolio Administrator and participate in due diligence reviews of target asset lease terms and conditions as well as maintenance forecasting.
- Engage in fleet planning and aircraft advisory consultancy projects.
- Perform any other tasks as reasonably requested by a Director of the Company.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in portfolio management, preferably in the aviation sector.
- Strong understanding of technical, operational, and legal aspects of asset management.
- Proficient in using asset management platforms.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to liaise effectively with various internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Leadership experience, particularly in managing small teams or departments.
