Import Operator required for our client based in Crawley. Our client are offering a salary up to 35k and great progression and benefits after a successful probation period.
This is an exciting opportunity to welcome a team member within the Import department of a 40-year strong specialist freight company. The potential candidate must have prior Import and customs experience, exports would also be an advantage.
Import Operator Job Overview
- Handling incoming calls & customer communication
- Preparing and providing job quotations
- Processing operational import duties
- Liaising with all contractors & international customers
- Job costing and invoicing
- Completing Customs documentation
- Working closely with Warehouse teams
Import Operator Job Requirements
- Experience in quoting freight /
- Willingness to assist warehouse department when required
- Experience in Ocean Freight
- Experience in dealing with dangerous goods - desirable
- Experience using Customs documentation / systems
- Proven ability in managing imports from start to finish
Import Operator Salary & Benefits
- Monday - Friday (09:00 - 18:00)
- Salary range 30 - 35K
- 3 months' probation period
- 20 days holiday + 8 bank holidays
- Company laptop
