Warehouse/Operations Administrator

Our client, is a leading distributor and online retailer of motorsport merchandise to the UK and for export to Europe and several other countries. Working with brands such as Ferrarri, Porsche, Mercedes, Red Bull, Mclaren, Williams to name a few.

This role is very important to the success of our business as it is key that our products and ranges are distributed to our global customer base efficiently and effectively, making sure to meet delivery deadlines and fulfil customer’s needs correctly and with care.

They are looking for a passionate and proactive Warehouse/Operations Administrator to join their expanding team and be part of our continued growth and development. Someone who will take pride in their work and strive for excellence in all facets of the job.

Warehouse - stock and order management:

You will be responsible for accurately picking orders as well as and ensuring that they are packed correctly and in line with quality standards. You will focus on achieving both the pick and pack targets ensuring that these are carried out accurately and that you maintain a clean and tidy work area at all times.

  • Receiving, checking, and stocking incoming deliveries into the correct locations.
  • Logging inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Prepare, pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Place picked and packed orders in the corresponding despatch locations per service (express shipping, standard or international deliveries)
  • Focused on achieving pick and pack targets.
  • Loading and unloading of lorries and other deliveries such as FedEx, DHL etc.
  • Ensure all breakages / damaged products are reported to management.
  • Always maintain a clean and tidy work area.
  • Replenish pick bays when necessary and notifying management about any out-of-stock lines.
  • Use of warehouse equipment in line with Health and Safety
  • Experience in a warehouse fulfilment environment is advantageous.

The Race Works

Work with the head of department to manage and maintain the B2C website, this task will be shared within the business. We are proud of our website and the high standard of customer service we offer that makes people come back to us time and again.

This will include:

  • Printing B2C orders and labels ready to be shipped the same day.
  • Warehouse related operations linked to picking and packing orders.
  • Liaising with customers and offering outstanding customer service through multiple platforms (phone, email etc)
  • Completing customer returns and ensure stock levels are correctly updated across our inventory management systems and our warehouse.
  • Returning stock to the warehouse and our inventory management systems.
  • Work on the back end of the website to manage product creation, update information, create promotions and ensure products are listed on time in line with launch dates and stock levels.
  • Liaise with managers on website processes to speed up workflow, grow the customer base and ensure our customer service remains immaculate.
  • Bring fresh ideas to the table.

Future progression - Sales Development

Once you have learnt the business, we will look to add sales development to your portfolio where you will be trained to provide a first class sales service to our business clients by demonstrating excellent market relevant knowledge of the products and the client’s business. Manage and develop your customer portfolio by building strong working relationships with clients and presenting the product and service we provide favourably and professionally.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet with customers (via face-to-face meetings, video calls or phone calls) in a sales environment to drive product sales and knowledge.
  • Demonstrate advanced product knowledge including latest trends and market demands.
  • Generate new leads and identify new target markets to penetrate and drive sales.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing clients.
  • Management of entire order process from start to finish.
  • Advise clients on forthcoming products and discuss special promotions.
  • Create detailed sales documents for both internal and external use.
  • Make accurate and fast cost calculations and provide the client with quotations.
  • Help with Ecommerce sales including developing marketing campaigns, offering outstanding customer service, and growing the platform.
  • Travelling to Europe may be required from time to time.
  • Working on spreadsheets and reports for management.
  • You may be asked by management to perform other duties.

Neat and well-presented every day, as we have customers arriving unannounced regularly.

Smart casual, no tracksuits, etc.

No headphones to be used in the warehouse.

  • Working 9:00am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday
  • You may be required to work outside of the above times on the odd occasion.
  • 6 Month probation period
  • 26 days annual leave
