Core Duties/Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Acting as a focal point for all the technical queries
  • Compliance with scheme rules, industry regulations and pensions legislation
  • Provide expert advice and guidance
  • Assessment of complex technical pensions issues and provide specialist expertise to team members.
  • Contributes to the design and development of new approaches and solutions in line with business and/or client needs.
  • Establishes processes for managing and administering sufficient quality controls.
  • Application of established processes to ensure quality of calculations and external communications is protected.
  • Responsibility for production of technically sound processes and procedures.
  • Transfer skills to other team members.
  • Build relationships with customers.
  • Provides guidance and coaching to team members.
  • Collates and analyses data to produce solutions.
  • Support the translation of quality objectives to team members.
  • Maintain an awareness of other business activities and work flexibly across other departments.
  • Represent EQ at technical working groups and forums.
  • Service improvement and efficiency identification.
  • Quality checking of work carried out by the administration team.
  • Ad-hoc activities as determined by Operational Manager.
