We are working in partnership with Royal Mail to recruit Parcel Sorters to assist during their busy period. This role offers an immediate start with a highly competitive pay rate at their Gatwick Mail Centre. If you're looking to earn some extra money during the Christmas season, this opportunity could be perfect for you! Role OverviewAs a Parcel Sorter, you will be responsible for: 
  • Loading and unloading mail and parcels. 
  • Organising packages into the correct sections within the warehouse to ensure they arrive safely at their destination. 
  • Royal Mail processes millions of packages and letters daily. During your shift, you will handle mail coming from and going to locations worldwide. Working as part of a team, you will sort through a significant volume of mail. 
The ideal candidate will have:

  • Flexibility, commitment, and enthusiasm. 
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team. 
Job Details:Start Date: Immediate (subject to checks) Contract Type: Temporary Shifts Available: Operating 7 days a week, applicants must be available to work some weekends. Please indicate your preferred shift when applying:  
  • Early Shift: 01:45 – 06:15 (£17.44 per hour) 
  • Late Shift: 18:15 – 21:45 (£16.23 per hour) 
Requirements 
  • All applicants will be required to complete a DBS check as part of the registration process. 
  • You must provide references and proof of address covering the past five years. 
  • As part of the onboarding process, you will be invited to attend an induction where you will receive the necessary training to succeed in the role. Inductions take place every Wednesday afternoon. 
  • An understanding of manual handling policies is essential, as the role involves lifting heavy items.
