Senior Import Operator - Freight Forwarding
Location: Crawley, West Sussex UK
Salary: 30,000 - 35,000 (DOE)
Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 18:00 (1 hour lunch)
Job Type: Full-Time

Desired Requirements:
- Prior experience in Import and Customs operations is essential. Experience in exports is a plus.
- Sea freight experience is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with handling dangerous goods and licensable goods is beneficial.
- Relevant licensing and qualifications (such as for dangerous goods) will be required or will need to be completed in-house.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handling incoming calls and providing job quotations.
- Processing operational import jobs efficiently and accurately.
- Liaising with contractors and suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
- Managing job costing and occasional invoicing.
- Preparing and processing customs paperwork in line with regulatory requirements.
- Monitoring, processing, and packing goods in the warehouse when required.
- Running your own desk and managing tasks in a well-organised and timely manner.
